Imagine always avoiding being alone with someone, even your best friend, just in case you might have misjudged their intentions. Imagine always calculating every move so that you are never walking alone, especially not in small streets. Imagine never going to any concert, exhibition, convention, cinema, etc. because none of your friends are going and “a girl shouldn’t go out alone, it’s seeking trouble.” Imagine always having to think about what you wear because you work in an environment in which mostly men works and you must avoid any “provocation.” I’ve never been sexually assaulted, I’m just sick of always being the one who has to worry about everything. I shouldn’t have to worry about these things.
